Terms of Service

Last updated: March 22, 2026

These terms govern your use of deadcat.ai, operated by systemBlue. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

deadcat.ai is an AI-powered editorial analysis tool for audio professionals. You submit transcripts or audio and we return structured editorial analysis using Anthropic's Claude AI models.

Accounts

You need an account to use deadcat.ai. You authenticate via email magic link. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email and for all activity under your account.

Your content

You own your content. Transcripts, audio files, and analysis results belong to you. We do not claim ownership or license over your content beyond what is necessary to provide the service. Transcripts are not stored. Analysis results are saved to your account and can be deleted at any time. Audio files are stored only if you explicitly opt in.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for illegal purposes, submit content that violates the rights of others, attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing, reverse engineer the service or AI prompts, resell access without permission, or use automated tools beyond the provided API.

Plans and billing

deadcat.ai offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Pay-as-you-go purchases are one-time charges and are non-refundable once the analysis has been delivered. We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions are honored at the current rate until the next renewal.

Usage limits

Each plan includes a monthly analysis allowance and maximum word count per analysis. Usage resets at the start of each billing period. When you exceed your plan's included analyses, additional analyses are available via pay-as-you-go pricing.

AI and accuracy

Editorial analysis is generated by AI. While we design our prompts for accuracy and editorial quality, AI output may contain errors, omissions, or subjective judgments you disagree with. The analysis is a tool to assist your editorial process, not a replacement for your judgment. We do not guarantee that analysis will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, update the service, or experience downtime due to third-party providers.

Intellectual property

The deadcat.ai service, brand, design, and code are owned by systemBlue. Your content remains yours. The editorial system prompt and analysis methodology are proprietary.

Limitation of liability

deadcat.ai is provided as-is without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, systemBlue is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Account termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data is permanently deleted.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state where systemBlue is incorporated.
