Privacy Policy

deadcat.ai is operated by systemBlue. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what we don't do with it.

The short version: we don't store your transcripts, we don't train on your data, and we don't sell your information.

What we collect

Your email address when you sign up, used for authentication and account communications. Analysis metadata when you run an analysis: the title, word count, and structured editorial results. The results contain short quotes from your source material but never the full transcript.

Billing is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Paid users who upload audio can choose to store it in encrypted storage. You can delete stored audio at any time.

What we don't collect

Transcripts. Your transcript text is sent to our server, forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis, and discarded immediately after the result is generated. It is never written to our database. There is no transcript column in our schema. This is structural, not a policy decision.

Audio files are processed in memory and discarded unless you explicitly choose to store them.

How we use your data

To provide the editorial analysis service, manage your account and subscription, enforce usage limits, send product updates if you opted in, and improve the service based on aggregate usage patterns.

Third-party services

Anthropic (Claude API) for editorial analysis. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train models. Supabase for authentication and database, data stored in the US. Stripe for payment processing. Vercel for hosting. Resend for email communications. Deepgram for audio transcription, audio is processed and not retained.

AI and training

We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not share your data with third parties for training purposes. Anthropic's Claude API does not use API inputs for model training.

Data retention and deletion

Analysis results are stored in your account until you delete them. You can delete individual analyses at any time. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is protected by row-level security policies. API keys and secrets are stored in environment variables, never in source code.

Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time through the app. For account deletion or data requests, contact legal@systemblue.io.

Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
